Custom Gaming PCs — Built by Hand in Maine

Parts at cost. Flat $300 build fee. No markups, no mystery.

Built, tested, and benchmarked by the same person who answers your messages — not a warehouse line.

How It Works

Typical total time: 10–14 business days from parts payment to delivery.

01

1. Configure & Get a Quote

Fill out the build form below. You'll get an itemized quote within 1 business day: parts total + shipping + $300 labor. Your quote is locked for 7 days.

03

3. We Build & Test

Parts usually arrive in 3–7 business days. Your PC is assembled, cable-managed, updated, and stress-tested — and you get photos and benchmark results before it ships.

02

2. Pay for Parts + Shipping

Invoice #1 covers parts and shipping only. No parts are ordered until it's paid — that's what lets us charge zero markup and carry zero inventory.

04

4. Pay the $300 Labor Fee

Invoice #2, due before shipping. Your PC ships insured with tracking — or pick it up locally in the Gorham, ME area and skip shipping entirely.

Start From a Proven Build — Then Tweak Anything

Prefer NVIDIA, more storage, a different case? Every build is a starting point — the form below lets you change any part, or go fully custom. A human checks every combination for compatibility before you pay a cent.

Side Quest — 1080p

Real 1080p gaming on a refurb budget. The core parts are tested refurbished; the SSD, power supply, and case are brand new.

Ryzen 5 5500 · Radeon RX 580 8GB (refurb) · 16GB DDR4 · 500GB NVMe (new)

From $769 total — parts ~$470 (Oct 2026) + $300 flat build fee · shipping at cost

Honest note: refurb parts don't carry manufacturer warranties — they're covered by our 90-day build support instead, and every part is stress-tested before it ships. Want more GPU? Ask about the RX 5600 XT upgrade on your quote.

Boss Fight — 1440p ★ Most Popular

High/ultra at 1440p with a real upgrade path (AM5). All-new parts.

Ryzen 5 9600X · Radeon RX 9070 16GB · 32GB DDR5 · 2TB NVMe

From ~$2,300 total — parts ~$2,000–$2,200 (Oct 2026) + $300 flat build fee · shipping at cost

This is the platform class our own shop PC runs on.

Main Quest — 1080p

High settings and high-refresh esports at 1080p, light 1440p. All-new parts.

Ryzen 5 5600X · Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB · 32GB DDR4 · 1TB NVMe

From ~$1,250 total — parts ~$950–$1,200 (Oct 2026) + $300 flat build fee · shipping at cost

Honest note: this build uses the AM4 platform for best value — that means no drop-in CPU upgrade path later. Fast today, priced right today.

Endgame — 1440p Ultra / 4K

No-compromises gaming, 4K with upscaling. All-new parts.

Ryzen 7 9800X3D · Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB · 32GB DDR5 · 2TB NVMe

Why Quotes Instead of a Price Tag?

RAM and graphics card prices are moving weekly across the whole industry right now. Big prebuilt brands hide that by quietly swapping in cheaper parts. We do the opposite: parts are at cost, so you see the real price of every part on your quote, the day you order. If a price drops before you order, you pay less. That's the whole point of parts-at-cost.

What's Included in the $300

• Professional assembly + clean cable management

• BIOS update, XMP/EXPO enabled, all drivers installed

• Windows installed (activated license included only if you select it in your build)

• CPU/GPU stress test + benchmark results sent to you

• Internal expanding-foam shipping protection + full-value insurance on every shipped build

• 90 days of direct build support from D&D Computers — parts carry their full manufacturer warranties, and you get the receipts to claim them (Side Quest builds: refurb parts are covered by the 90-day support above instead of a manufacturer warranty.)

Questions, Answered Honestly

Q: Are the Side Quest parts used?

A: The CPU, graphics card, RAM, and motherboard are refurbished — bought used, tested by us, and stress-tested again in your finished build. The storage, power supply, and case are always brand new, because those are the parts that wear out or hold your data. It's how a real gaming PC gets to $769 instead of $1,250 — and if you'd rather have all-new parts, that's exactly what Main Quest is.

Why do I pay for parts before the build starts?

That's the trade that makes zero markup possible. We're a small Maine shop, not a warehouse — your parts payment buys your parts, and you see exactly what they cost. Custom builders work this way for the same reason.

Can I change parts after I've paid?

Before parts are ordered: yes, free. After ordering: yes, but any price difference, return shipping, or restocking fee is on the changed parts only — the labor fee never changes.

What if I cancel?

Before parts are ordered: full refund. After ordering but before building: refund minus any return/restocking costs on parts already shipped. After the build is complete, the PC is yours — labor is earned once the build and testing are done.

What if it arrives damaged?

Every build ships insured for full value, with internal foam support and photos taken before sealing. Contact us within 5 business days and we'll run the carrier claim with you and make it right.

Do you do local pickup?

Yes — Gorham, ME area. No shipping charge, and you see it run before you take it home.
